Introduction
Extraction 2 is the sequel to the 2020 Netflix hit Extraction, which was one of the most watched films on the streaming platform. The first film introduced Tyler Rake, a former Australian Special Air Service Regiment soldier who works as a black-market mercenary.
He was hired to extract Ovi Mahajan Jr., the son of an Indian drug lord, from the clutches of a rival Bangladeshi crime lord. Along the way, he formed a bond with Ovi and sacrificed himself to save him from a sniper.
However, the ending of Extraction left a possibility that Tyler might have survived his gunshot wound and resurfaced in a pool. Extraction 2 confirms that Tyler did indeed survive and is back for another dangerous assignment.
This time, he is reunited with his ally Nik Khan, a former Indian Army officer who helped him in Dhaka. Together with Tyler’s team of operatives, they are tasked to free the family of Zurab Radiani, a Georgian crime boss who has been imprisoned by his rival Avtandil.
