In an official statement released, Gold Medalist emphasized that Kim Soo Hyun was not involved at all in the financial problems that plagued Kim Sae Ron. In fact, the agency stated that they were the ones who instructed Kim Soo Hyun to ignore the messages sent by Kim Sae Ron.
According to Gold Medalist, when Kim Sae Ron contacted Kim Soo Hyun, he was no longer under the agency and did not have adequate legal understanding regarding his debt. Therefore, the agency immediately took over the situation to ensure that everything was handled professionally.
“He had left the agency and did not have sufficient legal knowledge regarding his debt. This led him to contact Kim Soo Hyun, who was not involved in the matter,” said a statement from Gold Medalist, as quoted by Koreaboo, Saturday (3/15/2025).
Furthermore, the agency explained that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron had not had intense communication for four years before the message was sent. Therefore, it is natural that Kim Soo Hyun immediately consulted with his agency before taking any action.
In fact, according to Gold Medalist, the financial dispute between Kim Sae Ron and the company has been resolved since March 2024. The deceased’s legal team even expressed their gratitude to the agency for the support they have provided so far.
The debt was eventually written off without any demands for repayment, and the agency confirmed that Kim Sae Ron did not incur additional tax obligations due to the debt being written off.
However, speculation has been circulating linking Kim Sae Ron’s death to these financial problems. Gold Medalist firmly denies the allegations.
“Linking her death, which occurred a year later, to these financial problems is extreme and baseless speculation,” the agency asserted.
The official statement also emphasized that Kim Soo Hyun was never personally involved in Kim Sae Ron’s debt affairs.
