Synopsis of Apocalypse Now
The story begins in Saigon, where Captain Willard, a soldier who has experienced the trauma of war, receives a secret mission to kill Colonel Kurtz.
Kurtz, a brilliant but brutal officer, has established his own stronghold in Cambodia and runs his own military operations without orders from above. He was considered to have lost his mind and become a dangerous figure for American troops.
Willard and his crew begin their journey along the Nung River, passing through various obstacles and dangers.
Along the way, they meet a variety of unique and terrifying characters, from crazy soldiers to Kurtz worshipers. Each of these encounters further illuminates the darkness of war and the complexity of the human spirit.
The closer he gets to Kurtz, the more Willard is seduced by the colonel’s nihilistic philosophy and cruelty.
