Diksia.com - On Thursday, July 6th, 2023, Meta will launch a new app it claims is a competitor to Twitter: Threads.
‘Threads, an Instagram App’ is currently available on the App Store and can be ordered so that iOS users will receive a notification when the app is officially released.
Before the release, Meta posted a threads-themed easter egg on Instagram.
This Easter egg on Instagram, cited by 9to5google, is a fun way to promote threads.
To find it, mobile users simply enter the keyword ‘Threads’ in the Instagram search box.
When the last character ‘Threads’ is entered, a red ticket icon will appear at the end of the search box bar.
Tap the red ticket icon. An animated Threads app logo will appear with a countdown at the top.
Additionally, the Threads logo is reversed and displays more complete date, time, and username information in a QR code that links to the threads.net/download link.
Expect the Instagram Easter Egg to be a preview of other fun experiences available on Threads.
If you try on Tuesday (4/7/2023) via the Instagram website at the instagram.com link, this ticket icon will also appear if you type ‘Threads’ in enter the search box but in yellow and red lines a little. .
If you click on the ticket icon, we will be redirected to the link https://www.threads.net/.
The link also displays a countdown with a QR code pointing to the Threads app on the App Store.

Threads is Instagram’s text-based conversation app.
“Threads bring the community together to discuss everything from topics that interest you today to what’s trending tomorrow,” reads the app’s description on the App Store.
According to Reuters, it is possible for users to keep followers on Instagram and keep the same username when using Threads.
Thread launch is a credible threat to Twitter under Musk.
“Thread will be a major threat to Twitter as it comes from the Meta and Instagram family of apps,” said Drew Benvie, CEO of social media consultancy Battenhall.
“Instagram has 2 billion users compared to about 250 million Twitter users, so it’s already 10 times bigger. If just one in ten Instagram users tried to use threads, it would overtake Twitter overnight,” he continued.
