DIKSIA.COM - Elon Musk says he changed his branding and logo from the famous “blue bird” (Twitter) to “X”.
The new white X logo on a black background has replaced the blue bird logo on the desktop version of the social network, although it hasn't appeared on the mobile app yet.
According to Twitter owner Elon Musk, “tweets” will also be replaced and posts will be named “x”.
The billionaire replaced his profile picture with a new logo and added “X.com” to his Twitter bio.
Musk wants to build a “super app” called X, realizing his vision of a new kind of social media platform that he's been talking about for months.
On Sunday, the billionaire said he wanted to change the Twitter logo, then tweeted:
“And soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand and gradually to all bird logos.”
He then shared an image of the all-new X projected onto the wall of Twitter's HQ in San Francisco.
Musk, who changed his company name to X Corp, said the change “should have happened a long time ago.”

Musk, who changed his company name to X Corp, said the change “should have happened a long time ago.”
He posted a blinking X on Twitter and later in the Twitter Spaces audio chat, and responded “yes” when asked if the Twitter logo would change.
Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino wrote on the platform that the rebrand is an exciting new opportunity.
“Twitter has made a huge impact and changed the way we communicate,” he said.
“Now X is taking it a step further and changing the global city square.”
The bird character is named Larry, which Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said in 2011 is a tribute to basketball star and Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird.
