Diksia.com - Dr. Mohamad Hery Saripudin, the Indonesian Ambassador to Nairobi, Kenya, warmly welcomed the arrival of the BMH Qurban Expedition Team for East Africa by hosting a meal together at the Indonesian Residence in Nairobi on Wednesday, June 27, 2023.
In his heartfelt address, the Indonesian Ambassador, who also serves as the Permanent Representative of Indonesia to UNEP and UN Habitat Nairobi, expressed his appreciation and joy for the Indonesian community’s attention to the people in several African countries through Laznas BMH.
“We extend our appreciation to BMH for their concern for global communities, reaching all the way to Kenya, East Africa,” he said.
He stated that the humanitarian program initiated by BMH in Africa not only reaches its intended recipients but also supports and strengthens the good relations between Indonesia and the countries in the African continent.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Nairobi, Kenya, who is also accredited to Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Federal Republic of Somalia, was present in Lamu County, Kenya, on June 29, 2023.
Together with BMH, he symbolically distributed the sacrificial animals from the Indonesian community for Africa, entrusted through BMH.
Syamsuddin, the Head of BMH’s Prodaya Department and the Delegate of the African Qurban Expedition Team, stated that besides delivering the entrusted sacrificial animals from the Indonesian community.
Laznas BMH also assists in providing clean water facilities, sanitation, and scholarships for Quranic memorizers in Africa who wish to pursue their education at the Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School and University in Indonesia.
“BMH’s presence during the Eid al-Adha moment is not only limited to sacrificial animals; we also provide clean water facilities, sanitation, and scholarships for Quranic students,” said Syamsuddin.
