Diksia.com - Rudolph “Rudy” Farias IV, a teenage boy from Texas who disappeared in 2015, was found unconscious in front of a church.

Rudy Farias IV was 17 when he was reported missing in March 2015.

He disappeared while walking his two dogs.

Police and firefighters found Rudy Farias IV in Houston, Texas on Thursday (June 29, 2023) around 22:00 local time.

Earlier, we received a call from someone who said he had found a man unconscious in front of a church in Houston.

“It’s unclear where Mr. Farias has been for the past eight years,” Houston Police spokesman John Cannon said.

Police investigators have not spoken to Farias, who is now 25 and still undergoing treatment in hospital.

“What we do know is that during his recovery, Good Samaritan noticed him unresponsive and immediately called the police and 911,” Farias’ mother, Janie Santana, said in a statement. It means I did,” he said.

He continued, as quoted by CNN International, “My son Rudy is receiving the treatment he needs to deal with his trauma, but at this time he is speechless and unable to communicate with us. I can’t,” he said.

Houston Police said officers planned to speak with Farias and his family later this week.

News of Farias’ discovery was first reported in a tweet on Saturday (January 7, 2023) local time by the Texas Missing Persons Center, which handles public communications on behalf of the Farias family.

“When we lose a loved one, we know it is the reunion day every family hopes and dreams of,” the center said in a statement on Twitter.

“We are grateful that Rudy has been found and given the care he needs,” he continued.

Rudy disappears while walking dog

Rudy Farias was 17 when he was reported missing on March 6, 2015.

Last time, Rudy was walking his two dogs near his family’s home in northeast Houston.

The dogs were found, but Rudy was not found until eight years later.

Houston police, in conjunction with EquuSearch, Texas, a civil search and recovery team, searched for Rudy Farias but found no trace of him.

Texas-based EquuSearch reported that Rudy Farias was suffering from depression and anxiety when he first went missing.

They suspected that Rudy was deranged because he didn’t take his medicine.

“According to his mother, he is very wary of strangers,” Equsar, Texas reported.

Three years after being reported missing, Rudy’s family said they saw Rudy Farias living behind a relative’s house.

Police investigators followed up on the 2018 report and visited his relatives’ homes.

“They can’t find him,” said Houston Police spokesman John Cannon.

The investigation into Rudy is still ongoing as a missing persons case as police were unable to find him in 2018.

Rudy’s family was not immediately available for comment.

Rudy’s mother, Janie Santana, said in a statement: “We ask for privacy during this difficult time and will provide further details as Rudy continues his recovery.”
