In another development, Ukraine’s military superior commander, Brigadier General Oreksi Promov, said Ukraine had regained control of more than 100 square kilometers (38 square miles) of territory in a counteroffensive.

Ukraine counterattacks, liberates 100 square kilometers of territory

Ukraine’s military superior commander, Brigadier General Oleksiy Promov, said Ukraine had regained control of more than 100 square kilometers (38 square miles) of territory in a counterattack.

Defense Minister Hannah Mariar said that while “slow and steady progress” was being made, Russian forces continued to offer “strong resistance” on the southern front.

The head of the UN Nuclear Monitor said the situation at the Zapoliza nuclear power plant was “critical” but that measures were being taken to stabilize it.

After visiting Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, Rafael Grossi said inspectors stay at the Russian-occupied facility, but signing security papers on the spot while the two countries are still at war is “unrealistic “enemy”.

He said securing water to cool the plant was a priority, adding that the plant could safely run ‘for a while’.

The newspaper added that on June 8, they were brought from the Occupied Territory’s Starobilisk district to two centers in the Prikbang district of Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia, adding that 750 children from Luhansik were scheduled to arrive in June.
