Wagner is ready to move to Belarus

Mercenaries from Wagner’s group, led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, prepare to move to Belarus.

This came as part of a deal defusing their rebellion against Russia’s military leadership, a senior commander of the group said.

Since the June Uprising, when Wagner’s warriors briefly captured the southern Russian city and marched toward Moscow, the whereabouts of Prigozhin and his mercenaries have remained unclear.

Poland is transporting 200 units of combat equipment

On Saturday (07/08/2023) Poland began moving more than 1,000 soldiers and almost 200 units of equipment to the east of the country.

The fate of war-torn Ukraine’s NATO membership

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has secured Turkey’s crucial support for Ukraine’s admission into the NATO military alliance.

“There is no doubt that Ukraine deserves to become a member of NATO,” Erdogan said at a meeting with Zelenskyy in Istanbul.

Zelenskyj visits Snake Island

The President of Ukraine visited Snake Island.

As is well known, the island became an important location at the beginning of the war.

In an undated clip released on Saturday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy can be seen arriving in a boat and laying flowers to honor those who defended the island.

The situation at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant

The head of the UN nuclear regulatory agency has completed inspections of several areas of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

Earlier, Ukraine claimed that an “external object similar to an explosive device” was placed on the roof of the compound.

UN officials said they saw “no evidence of explosives or mines” when visiting the cooling pools and other areas, but did not visit the roof of the facility.
