DIKSIA.COM - JAKARTA, Chery Indonesia will launch two new products at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) auto show, which will be held for 11 days from August 10-20, 2023 at ICE BSD in Tangerang.
Rifki Setiawan, General Manager Marketing of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, said during a presentation at the pre-event GIIAS 2023 conference in Jakarta on Thursday, July 13, 2023 that the two new products are indicated as SUV vehicle models.
At GIIAS 2023, Chery will also introduce a battery-based electric vehicle (BEV car). “This is a prototype product, but it's close to the mass-pro version that Chery will be marketing in Indonesia,” Rifki said.
According to Rifki, 2023 will be the second event for Chery Indonesia to perform at GIIAS. His party will open a larger stand than GIIAS 2022 in Hall 9.
“Chery's booth in Hall 9 will be larger than before, measuring 702 square meters compared to last year's 400 square meters,” he said.
“We will be showing educational displays about Chery products. Products on display include Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Chery Tiggo 8 Pro with a medium-high target audience and Omoda 5, which is the sales backbone of Chery Indonesia,” he said.
SUV Jaecoo 7
One of Chery's new SUVs to be unveiled at GIIAS 2023 is expected to be the Jaecoo 7 SUV model, a luxury SUV aimed at those with an established city cruiser economy.
Jaecoo is a sub-brand of Chery and is aimed at car users that are more premium than the currently existing Chery models. Chery launched the Jaecoo brand globally in April 2023.
