Diksia.com - Surabaya, The City of Surabaya once again hosted the Indonesia BlackAuto Battle 2023 Car Tuning Contest on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Grand City, Surabaya, representing the Eastern Region.
Aiming for a ticket to the final, 130 participants made this tournament exciting.
BlackAuto Battle 2023 Surabaya became the second city after the same event was previously held in Serpong as the representative city of the western region.
“The venue for the event in Grand City Surabaya is indeed very strategic as it is located in the center of the city and just a few hundred meters away from the mayor’s office and East Java provincial governor’s office. And then Jakarta, as the second city, there are a lot of car enthusiasts, especially those who like to modify, in this city,” said event organizer Boy Prabowo on Monday (March 7, 2023).
Judging by the 130 attendees, the event was on target, he said.

Boy explained that in principle the implementation of BlackAuto Battle 2023 Surabaya will not be too different from the implementation in the previous city.
The contest he is divided into two different main classes. One is ‘Culture’, which represents the appropriate, good-looking, and fashionable modding genre, and the other is ‘Contest Cars’, which represents the more progressive genre.
These two classes exhibit different modification characteristics and can meet the tuner’s need to select a class that suits their modification preferences.
Additionally, two modding classes are also hyped in today’s modding world.
This event continues to collaborate with the APACT association to design a judging system, where the winners in each region will represent their region to compete against the best concepts in the Final Battle round which will take place on 21-22 October 2023 at JEC Jogjakarta.

Namely, the presence of the Nissan GTR, the HKS version, the Mitsubishi EVO IX June and the Nissan Skyline R34 MINES,” continued Boy Prabowo.

A modified car’s engine measures its capabilities in real time using a tool commonly called a dynamometer from Mainline Dynolog, one of the world’s top dyno manufacturers.
This tool is often used as a standard tool in many races and performance activities around the world. .
“There was a record-breaker at the BlackAuto Dynotetest in Surabaya.In the Diesel Battle class, one of the participating cars recorded engine torque of up to 317 hp on the wheel,” Boy explained.
In the audio competition “Black Out Loud”, there were three types of competitions, SQ, SQL, and SPL, and a new record occurred.
“There was also excitement in the Blackout Loud SQ and SPL classes. In the EMMA-MECA-CAN collaboration, the points achieved by the participants were very close, reaching up to 158dB of dB gain in SPL.” He said.
In this event as well, we continue to entrust measurement and winner determination for each category as partners to EMMA (Europe), MECA (USA), and CAN (Indonesia/Asia).
From this event, the top three players from each region were selected to participate in his Final Battle 2023 round.
