Diksia.com - JAKARTA, The range of new bikes in the sports motorcycle segment has now grown with the official launch of the TVS Ronin, a modern retro styled sports motorcycle that made its debut at the Jakarta Fair 2023 JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Friday 7th April 2023. July 2023 yesterday.
TVS Ronin offers a premium riding style and this is the first product from TVS creating a new segment in the motorcycle world.
This bike combines style, riding comfort and the latest technology for those who live the #Unscripted lifestyle, while offering a different ecosystem of goods and accessories and dedicated programs.
Machine
The TVS Ronin is equipped with an air-cooled SOHC four-stroke petrol engine with a displacement of 225.8 cc and a weight of 160 kg.
Capable of producing 20.4 hp at 7,750 rpm, this engine offers the best power-to-weight ratio in its category and maximum torque of up to 19.93 Nm at 3,750 rpm.
Regarding the chosen engine power, M. Rizal Rizkiawan Tandju, Deputy General Manager of TVS-MCI, said that TVS actually has a motorcycle with a larger engine power. “We have motorcycles with 250 cc to 310 cc engines,” quotes Gridoto.
As a pricing strategy, his party deliberately installed the displacement of the TVS Ronin under 250 cc.
“In several countries, such as Indonesia, 250cc motorcycles are subject to a luxury tax, which then affects the sale price of the motorcycle,” Rizal said.
“That’s why the 225cc displacement was chosen, so that the price is the same as a 150cc motorcycle, but the performance is higher than that of motorcycles in general,” he said.
Special functions
This motorcycle is equipped with unique features and technologies to withstand rain conditions and brakes in ABS mode for city routes, Glide Through Technology (GTT).
There’s also intelligent Bluetooth connectivity with voice and drive command support in a retro design package.
