Diksia.com - Kia Offers Update for City Car Picanto Model 2023. The smallest member of the Kia family gets a fiercer, more aggressive style along with improved technology.
The third generation Picanto arrived in 2017 and received a gradual update in 2020.
This time around, Kia has taken a serious styling update, adopting the ‘Opposites United’ style language in its own way for the Picanto.
Quoting from Carscoops, the 2023 version of the Picanto has a new face, with Y-shaped headlights (optional LED) giving it a more fearless and sporty look.
The bumpers are also new, with a revised chrome tiger nose grille and more complex center intake, featuring gloss black trim and body color elements.
The rear of the Picanto is fitted with a pair of new LED taillights connected under the rear glass.
Apart from that, the rear bumper has also been updated with sharper styling hints such as small reflectors with fake vents, a more aggressive diffuser and invisible exhaust pipes.
According to the images shown, this latest Picanto variant is only equipped with GT-Line trim.
However, the GT-Line will be fitted with 16-inch alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish, while the standard model will likely be fitted with 14-inch alloy wheels.
The color palette consists of nine colors, including four new shades of signal red, smoke blue, sporty blue and adventurous green.
In Europe and Australia, the Picanto is now available with two naturally aspirated petrol units, a 1.0 MPi 3-cylinder engine or a 1.2 MPi 4-cylinder engine.
Both improve efficiency and reduce emissions by improving the exhaust gas recirculation path, cooling the combustion chamber and optimizing intake valve timing.
Kia didn’t mention power figures, but the Hyundai i10 siblings have 67 PS (66 hp) for the 1.0-liter engine and 83 hp (62 kW / 84 PS) for the 1.2-liter engine.
Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.
In South Korea, the car is known as Kia Morning and is available only with a 1.0-liter engine and a different 4-speed automatic.
