DIKSIA.COM - Wuling began electrification in Indonesia with the launch of the Air EV at GIIAS 2022. In less than a year, the population of this car has reached nearly 10,000 units.

To celebrate the journey to 10,000 Air EV units in a year of presence of this compact electric car in Indonesia, Wuling Motors (Wuling) held a customer gathering entitled “Green Drive Festival”.

More than 100 Air-EV units participated in the activity, held with Air-EV customers and the community of Wuling Electric Vehicle Indonesia (WEVI).

Dian Asmahani, Brand and Marketing Director of Wuling Motors, recognizes Indonesian consumers' trust in Air EV as Wuling's first electric vehicle in the country, as shown by the number of Air EV owners, which will reach 10,000 consumers in a year since its launch.

“With this Green Drive Festival, we want to celebrate this success together with Air EV users and WEVI as the official community of Air EV owners and show the public a simple and modern driving experience with Air EV. We hope more and more people will be inspired to get involved in supporting green mobility for cleaner air in the future,” Dian said on Sunday (07/16/2023).

Wuling kicked off the Green Drive Festival series at Aloha, Pantai Indah Kapuk 2. Upon arrival at this meeting point, attendees were instructed to park in a “10km” formation, anchored as a mark of celebration for 10,000 Air-EV customers in Indonesia.

Before the convoy of Air EV users proceeds to the main venue, Wuling will provide safety instructions so that the ride can be carried out safely and comfortably during the ride.

In order to maintain favorable traffic conditions, the Air EV convoy is divided into 4 groups and the trips start alternately.

The convoy for each batch was approved by Wuling Motors Sales Operations Director Michael Budihardja.

This activity was also enlivened by stand-up comedy by comedian and actor Mongolia Stres and a special performance by singer Raisa.

The excitement of the Drive Green Festival ended with fireworks decorating the sky from Uptown Park.
